ROATAN- Mahogany Bay Cruise Center had the opportunity to participate in the ribbon cutting ceremony for the official opening of the Rogelio Bustillo Soccer Stadium in the Corozal Community on the Island of Roatan. The event attended by members of the local community and the island also had the presence of the Governor of the Bay Islands Honorable Ricardo Merren and Congressman of the Bay Islands Mr. Jerry Hynds.
The event, which was the culmination of a laborious project set to fully remodel the soccer stadium, benefitted from Mahogany Bay's contribution of providing and installing the new lighting system for the stadium. In addition, the local Mahogany Bay staff has agreed to adopt the facilities and will repair the goals, the bleachers and cut the grass whenever needed. Hereinafter and in conjunction with the community they will also take care of the maintenance of the facilities.
Some 500 people of the community and the island enjoyed the event and were thankful for the continuous support that Mahogany Bay Cruise Center provides to the neediest areas of the island through its community service program.
